Mr. Short founded Kildare Partners in 2013 and serves as the Chief Investment Officer and board member of the Adviser. He has been actively investing and managing distressed assets in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. for more than 25 years.

Mr. Short began his career in 1983 at General Electric where he spent ten years in a variety of positions including its Audit, Pension Fund and Real Estate divisions. From 1994 to 2007, Mr. Short worked for Lone Star Funds ("Lone Star"), a Dallas-based private equity firm, during which he served as the company's President and as a member of the investment committee. In 1996, Mr. Short relocated to Japan where he served as the Head of Asia Operations until 2007. In that capacity, he was responsible for identifying, acquiring and managing all investment transactions acquired by Lone Star in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Indonesia, deploying in excess of $10 billion of equity capital in over 100 investments.

In 2007, Mr. Short retired from Lone Star to pursue other investment opportunities and formed Kitano Capital LLC. He continued to oversee management of Lone Star's $1.2 billion investment in Korea Exchange Bank until the sale of the bank in 2012.
